YAY! Its GIR! I did this for one of my classes, and had fun with it. Nice bold color, brightens it up.
Gesso is used to create the texture of the paper. Then acrylic paint is dry-brused on to create the background. Character was painted on over the background colors. Sanding is used to bring out the texture through the paint.
